Quinta de Lemos, Dao Jaen

100% Jaen. Biodynamic. Quinta de Lemos continues to emerge as a serious producer of age worthy wines based exclusively on the native grapes of Portugal's Dao. Beautiful structure with spicy red fruits come together with vegetal and resinous notes that add an earthiness to an otherwise fruit forward wine. 18 months in a mix of French oak and then bottle aging at the winery until they feel the wine is ready. This 2012 is screamingly elegant, with enough structure to easily go another 10 years.
