Frenchtown Farms, Suba Rosa Syrah North Yuba 2019

100% Syrah. Organic. Cara and Aaron Mockrish have access to the Renaissance Vineyard in North Yuba, an impressive extension of their commitment to the legacy of Clos Saron. The Syrah is grown at 2300ft on steep East facing slopes and the grapes tend to develop thick skins in response to the strong winds that high up.. Hand harvest, whole cluster foot stomped and aged in neutral French oak for 3 years. Bottled unfined & unfiltered with a small addition of sulfur (30ppm) at bottling. A measly 97 cases produced.
