Domaine Moissenet-Bonnard, Bourgogne Rouge 'Oncle Paul' 2021

100% Pinot Noir. Practicing organic. Emmanuelle-Sophie took over her family estate in 2014, and solidified their reputation of classic wines produced around Pommard. The 'Oncle Paul' comes from 40 year old vines from 3 separate plots southwest of the Pommard AOP with south east exposure in fine argile calcaire soil. Elegant fruit and a rustic charm make for a layered expression of Pinot that bats way above the average wine of Bourgogne appellation.
