A challenging vintage for red wine in the Willamette. Luckily this vineyard site tucked away in a northwest Willamette pocket called Gales Creek was relatively untouched by ‘new’ smoke. With a long and cool ferment tickled by pump overs and pigeage, the wine built fine tannins and rounded mouthfeel without the need for the pressings.
